Last August my family went to Colorado. We spent a week in Colorado Springs. The first day was mostly driving before we finally arrived.
8/23/22-We went to the Manitou Incline. I love running, but my legs were sore hiking up the mountain. After going on the incline, we went to Garden of the Gods. This is personally a favorite for me in Colorado. My family really wanted to visit the Scheel's there, so we went inside. It was different than the one in Iowa in the sense it had a big ferris wheel inside. I worked at Scheels for five years so it reminded me too much of work. Every night we walked at sunset. That was a highlight of the week.
8/24/23-It was Wednesday morning, and we decided to take a train ride up to Pike's Peak. It got a little chilly with the elevation, but it was a beautiful view. We explored the area and checked out tourist shops and a vintage arcade.
8/25/22-We planned on going to Estes Park, but we ended up going home early instead. We stopped at Nebraska on our way home so my dad could take a break from driving. I love family vacations, but honestly I am a homebody and missed my alone time...
