-Keep a log for about a week of what you’re spending your time on. It will amaze you to see how much time a day you can waste on things that are unimportant.
-Put your phone in the other room or a spot far away in your house to get things done. This is especially helpful if you work from home or are easily distracted.
-Time how long you are doing things. If I want to hold myself accountable for getting work done, I set a timer on my phone to motivate me to work faster or harder.
-Write down your goals or a list of things that need to get done and set it in a spot you can see it.
-Go on social media fasts or use the time limit on your phone so it will set a limit on your screen time on social media apps.
-If you’re working from home, be sure to work in a spot you know that you can get stuff done. Doing work from your bed or couch makes it hard to be motivated.
-Get ready for the day. Yes, I can be lazy with my appearance, but I don’t want to work from my pajamas because it makes it harder for me to get things done when I feel lazy.
-Start small and pretty soon you will see bigger results. I believe I procrastinate because everything looks so overwhelming, I don’t even want to start. If I start with the smaller stuff, doing something small is better than doing nothing to work towards your goal.
